Last time Joel Horwood collaborated with Eastern Angles on the play I Caught Crabs in Walberswick we found ourselves with an Edinburgh Fringe smash hit on our hands.
Now, following Joel’s success with the acclaimed nabokov Theatre Company and writing comedy Christmas shows for The Lyric Hammersmith, the young playwright is back with Eastern Angles working on a new Edinburgh-bound theatre piece, I ♥ Peterborough.
Peterborough audiences will be the first to see this developing play from the pen one of theatre’s most exciting voices at two script-in-hand performances the city’s Key Theatre Studio.
I ♥ Peterborough is a play about grief, friendship and the way we deal with life-changing events. Taking an authentic and uncompromising look at drug use, the play manages to deal with the subject with poignancy and irreverence – a moving, thought-provoking and blackly comic look at city life.
