About "Lavenham Sinfonia"

Leader Jessie Ridley and Conductor Frederick Marshall founded the Sinfonia in 1979 as a small string orchestra and quickly expanded it into a full symphony orchestra.

The handpicked members come from all over East Anglia; many have been professional musicians, several music teachers and some of their best students.

The Sinfonia has played all the Beethoven and Brahms symphonies, much Mozart, Haydn, Mahler, Wagner also Baroque music and where possible the best of contemporary music.
