In 1861 at the great Tooley Street fire, a wall collapsed. Underneath lay Jimmy Braidwood. In 1989 two friends crawl through thick smoke into a blazing block of flats...
Through stories, action, music, and song, and above all the words of the firemen themselves, the link between these two events becomes a vivid celebration of the nation's firefighters. Station, control room, appliance and shout unfold on stage in a blend of true-life tragedy, comedy and excitement.
